Teen Cries

"Mom, am so sorry. It was just a mis-" Erika was interupeted by the out loud thinking of her emotional mother.

"Grandmother, grandmother, grandmother" She mummbled. Carol took a deep breath, quickly swiped her finger across the couch. "Dust... no good." She hurried past Erika, knocking her off balance. Carol came out with her duster, sweeping away as fast as she could.

"Mom?" Erika stated.

"Yes?"

"What should i do?" Erika paced back and fourth, holding her stomach as the nausea started finding its way up her throat.

"About what Erika?" Carol gave her a glance of confusion.

"Mom, about what i just told you!" Her voice intensed. Carol shook her head.
"Oh, yes." Carol paused her dusting and stood straight infront of Erika. "I am very dissapointed in you. But," she sighed."I love you and nothing could ever change that, not even this." Carol took a step closer to Erika.

"Mom, she isn't a this, she is my baby!" The morning sickness attacked Erika's mouth, trying to pull it's way up.

"Well, sorry about that but i just found out that i am going to become a grandmother so i think i deserve a little bit of time to feel inraged. Expecially at the boy." Carol's eyebrow raised suspiciously. "Who is this boy?"

"This boy is Troy, and he is amazing." Erika gushed."I've been dating him for months, i guess you never knew. He loves me, and respects me, and is on board with this, just as i am." She turned away from her mother. "And if you aren't ok with this, there is a room for me at his house." Erika stated, in monotone.

'' Erika Quinn, look at me!" Carol shot a you-better-listen-dear look. "You cannot blame me for wishing harm on this boy! He did this to you!"

"No! We did this to me and we are dealing with the con-"

"I don't want you to leave Erika. I want my daughter with me."

"Ok. Then i won't."

"Ok."

"Ok."

"Just two questions and then we can stop talking about this," Carol took a deep breath. "Do you love him, and what are you going to do?"

"Yes, and i have no idea..."

Teenage drama never ends!

Love Kills

Listen. The sound of the waves roll and crash, gently; upon the grainy sand.
This is the beginning of the rest of my life.
Love always,
Kate
At least, that was what Kate had thought the day she turned eighteen. Kate had no clue that she had been caught. Kate and dumbfounded, Shane had been caught.

Sam stood, staring straight at Kate. “I am done with this. I mean nothing to you and you know that. I don't think you would have pulled that crap if I really did matter to you. You don't cheat on someone you 'love'! I don’t play second best, because I am a good looking eighteen year old who can get someone so much better than you.” Sam sighed. “The funny thing is, I love you.” Sam glanced at Kate. “I guess I’ll get over that.” Sam moved closer to Kate’s parent’s door. “Bye, Kate.” He marched off and left Kate sitting alone on her sofa, with the cool Malibu mist floating in through the cracks of her door and she cried.

While Kate was deleting old e-mails from her old boyfriends, making room for her new fiancés e-mails she began to jump, thinking about tonight. Kate knew Jake’s plan. Today was the day he was to propose. Jake was NEVER good at hiding his secrets from her. She always got it out of him. He once to Kate into Lanzello Jewels the most famous jewelry store in Malibu. He basically planned out what he would do, right in front of Kate. Take her to her favorite restaurant, then rent the whole outside pool in Le Carr and he would then hide the ring somewhere for Kate to find it. She was ready, because Jake was perfect.

Ding-dong.

“Jake, I thought you were coming…”She froze in her sentence, staring at someone, whom she was pretty sure she knew. “Uh… hi… Sam?” Kate moved closer to the fine man standing in her doorway.

“Hey Kate, I missed you!” Sam was aggressive, and quickly hugged Kate. She hugged back, even though her brain felt like jello. “Wow, I haven’t seen you since high school!” Sam scanned her still body. “Wow.” He muttered.

“Sam, what… what are you doing here, it’s been five years!” Kate shook her head, and gestured him to enter.

“Well, I missed you.” He said enthusiastically. “I know were twenty-three and that in the past five years I have made really no effort at all to seeing you, but last week, I had this epiphany. I wanted to see anyone I haven’t seen in awhile.” He reached out for Kate’s’ hand. “That starts with you.” He glanced around her house, looking at her Mac, flat screen, and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. “So,” he laughed. “What do you do for a living?”

“I am a neurologist in training. Right now, I work at Malibu Health Guard. I am the chief, but just four or five more years and I will be a licensed neurologist!” She went to show off her impressive degree’s but was stopped by Sam’s face. A single tear fell onto her perfectly polished maple brown floor. That one tear was followed by twenty more. “What’s wrong Sam?” Kate awkwardly reached to put her arm around him. “It’s ok… it’s ok…”

“I feel like an idiot.” Sam plopped onto Kate’s maroon sofa. “You’re brilliant, gorgeous, and have an amazing life and I gave you up just because you ‘cheated’…” He sobbed into a pillow, and Kate cringed. Tear stains… But then, she swelled with pride. Thinking to herself, look at this! The dumper is the one crying now! She then forced a fake smile, and placed her arm around him.

“Materials don’t matter, Sam. We had a great run but, it just wasn’t meant to be.” She whispered.

Sam glanced up at her. “What the heck!” Sam threw him arms up and attacked Kate. Kissing her forcefully.

“GET OFF OF ME!” Kate screeched. She jumped up and slapped Sam. She then ran to the door and swung it open. “Get your sorry little…” As Kate peered outside the door, a familiar figure was standing there with flowers. Her jaw dropped and so did the flowers. “Jake… oh my god, hi…” She fidgeted, trying to make her less than faltering appearance better, and make her situation look like two old friends playing. “I… um… I thought you weren’t coming till six. I am not... ready yet.”

“Ya… you don’t look ready.” Jake took a mighty step forward into the house, scanning the living room for something. Sam rolled onto the floor, and hid behind her sofa. “What is he doing here Kate?” Jake questioned. Sam stood up, and made his way over to Jake.

“Hi, um…” He stuttered.

“Jake.” Kate stated.

“Oh, thanks. Hi Jake, I am Sam, Kate’s ex-boyfriend, from high school. Nothing is going on… no more feelings… she cheated on me… anyway, Nice to meet you.” Jake grabbed Sam’s hand, and swung it up and down. “Wow, what a forceful handshake. Do you work out?” Sam’s odd charm of course didn’t fool Jake.

“What is going on Kate?” Jake asked.

“Just talking, honey!” Kate exclaimed.

Sam sighed. “Kate, he isn’t stupid.” he muttered.

“I know that.” Kate responded.

“Tell him the truth.” Sam whispered.

“What truth Sam?” said Kate.

“You know I can hear you!” cried Jake.

“Of course you can!” Kate said. Pacing back and forth, she couldn’t seem to find the words. She knew she wasn’t cheating on him, because she didn’t go in for the kiss. It was forced upon her. She didn’t enjoy it either… well, she kind of did, but she didn’t like it more than Jake. She loves Jake. She hates Sam… or does she? What will happen if she uses the wrong words? What did this look like to him? What will he think? Does she look guilty now?

Within seconds, which seemed like hours to Kate, Sam had already jumped in and started spilling the beans to Jake. His face became cold and he stared at Kate. “Why?” He asked. “I have always been good to you. I’ve never looked at someone else when I was with you, I never thought about someone else when I was with you, and I sure as hell never kissed someone else when I was with you. But, of course, I’ve been too good to you.” He turned towards the door.

“WAIT!” Kate screeched. He halted. “Jake,” she cried. “I love you. Not Sam. Sam and I were puppy love. It meant nothing then, hense why I cheated, and means nothing now.” She took a step closer. “Did he tell you that when he kissed me I was pushing him off me, and was going to kick him out? I felt violated and I didn’t play along and provoke the kiss… I never would do something like that Jake. “Kate insisted.

“Well, I don’t completely agree with that…” Sam’s voice trailed as Jake started to reach for Kate’s hand. SAM! Kate thought.

“What do you mean?” asked Jake.

“She wasn’t exactly doing nothing to make me kiss her. She had her arm around me, and was rocking me, and smiling at me as I was crying. That kinda made me think she wanted it too.” Sam said. Jake looked at him, with a devious smile.

“Sam?” He asked softly.

“Yes?”

“GET OUT OF HERE NOW!” Jake roared. Kate had never seen Jake so out of shape over something before this. Sam sprinted out of Kate’s home, and then, Jake turned to Kate. “I can’t deal with your high school crap anymore Kate. I am tired of wondering if you’re gonna cheat on me or not. This was the last straw… It doesn’t seem like you can hold onto a man because every time you have something good, you blow it…. And you blew us.”Jake took a breath. “Bye, Kate.” He marched off and left Kate sitting alone on her sofa, with the cool Malibu mist floating in through the cracks of her door and she cried.
